Top 100 80s Albums

November 18th, 2002

Pitchfork nominates the Top 100 Albums of the 1980s. Today they list numbers 100-51.

So far I'm not doing very well at all – I own perhaps one in ten of the albums listed.

    i've got (or owned at some point) a mere seven of those albums.

    Yes, but you're a lot younger than me. The 80s was precisely the decade when I was supposed to be a hip young thing with my finger on the pulse of youth culture.

    Unless numbers 50-1 turn out to be a copy of my album collection, I can only conclude that I was as Tragically Unhip in the 80s as I am now. :-(
