I dread to think what'll happen if Steve Bruce and Alan Shearer both turn the job down. I can't imagine Martin O'Neill heading south again for anything other than the Manchester United job, so I suppose Plan B will involve trying to tempt Alan Curbishley or Sam Allardyce to come and see how they do at a club with some money to spend. Ain’t that the truth.
