The Middleman

July 2nd, 2008

Judging by this review by Nathan Alderman at TeeVee, I might just have to keep an eye out for The Middleman if it shows up on our screens:

[For all its budgetary failings, this is still...] a series in which tracksuited mobster gorillas wield machine guns in the service of a mad scientist; reformed succubi staff a high-fashion design agency; and a huffy martial-arts master fights a blood feud against an army of evil luchadores and their giant laser. So basically, I can’t not recommend it.

Sold.

I saw about ten minutes of it the other night, having finally gotten cable installed in my room in this house on Monday, and enjoyed it, although I can’t say much for only ten minutes.

I checked it out after reading this review. Will try to remember to check it again.
