Buffy character studies
The Buffy animated series doesn't look like happening. Which is a shame, because Eric Wight's promotional artwork for the show looks damn good. My favourites are Buffy in thoughtful mode, Willow, Joyce & Dawn and Principal Snyder. However, I don't think he quite nailed Giles and none of the monsters really looks up to the job.
Incidentally, Wight's take on Sunnydale High School Library is very cool indeed.

Doesn't buffy look a lot like real-dawn??

You think? I don't see it myself. Is there any particular image that you think gives off a Dawn-vibe? Admittedly the one of her sitting atop the tombstone which I linked to de-emphasises her being a blonde, but I still don't think it she looks very Dawn-like.

I only saw the tombstone one. I thought "What's dawn doing there?". Ani-dawn looks a lot younger, like they were showing her as she would have looked like if she'd been in the series all the time. She just looks like dawn to me rather than buffy as a brunette

The idea was that the animated show would have been set during the first couple of seasons of the show proper, back when the gang were a few years younger and still at Sunnydale. The big difference would have been that Dawn, having been inserted into history around the start of season 5, would be part of the gang too, but would only have been about ten or eleven years old.
