Things You Don't See Everyday
Things You Don't See Everyday. I think "Teach our children Reading, Writing, Arithetic..." has to be my favourite.

Aargh. One of my pet hates.
"Every day" (two words) = "all days"
"Everyday" (one word) = adjective meaning "commonplace".

How about another sign, "Some pedant hating everyday phrases every day got creamed"

Just for the record, I was aware of the grammatical error. I just decided that if that was the way the page's author wrote it then that was how I should quote it.
Of course, now that I've commented on someone's grammar it's almost inevitable that this post will contain at least one glaring error in spelling or grammar. :-)

This is the funniest site I have ever seen. I really love the one with the guy holding the sign that has arithmetic spelled wrong.

John: no implication intended that the error was yours. I'm not normally a pedant, and I'm a strong believer in custom-and-usage - but there are some constructions that are just illiterate sh*te by current standards (e.g. magazine and newspaper house style sheets).
