MSNBC Idiocy

Talking of sites using Flash as a way to stop people linking to their images, as of a couple of weeks ago MSNBC's The Week In Pictures feature has gone even further. Not only has the site switched to a Flash slideshow presentation, but it steadfastly refuses to let me view the slideshow if I use Safari or Firebird.

Apparently Internet Explorer for the Mac, despite being a discontinued program which uses exactly the same Flash plugin as my other browsers, is the only one MSNBC deems up to the job of displaying their slideshow.

<sarcasm level="medium">
I'm sure this has nothing to do with furthering the interests of the company which puts the "MS" in "MSNBC."
</sarcasm>
